Album Update Part II

Steve finished off his final vocal track today. At this rate we should reach the goal of having the album finished by Dec 25th with no problem. Maybe.

Album Update

Using a grease screen as a pop filter (how is that for lo-fi ya indie snobs?) I finished tracking the final lead vocal on the record today. That isn’t to say we are all done however. Steve is coming by to do his last few back up vocals tomorrow and Wednesday we are going to work on the last few guitar tracks. The work is getting done. Thank Jeebus.

…or get off the pot

The time has come for us to actually get something done. For too long now we’ve been working on album #2 with nothing to show for it. We have decided to set a deadline for ourselves to finish the damn album. One way or another we will be done recording the album by December 25th. To help ourselves finish said record we’ve decided not to play any shows between now and then so that we can focus our free time on getting it wrapped up. Hopefully this will actually yield an album. Only time will tell. We will keep you updated on our progress here.

Long Weekend

Boy that was a long ugly weekend. Not sure what else can be said. Those weren’t our best shows by any stretch. There were some quality songs played throughout but there were some tragic trainwrecks as well. Like the man said “par for the course”. Can’t say what happens next but it’ll be interesting.

October Festing

Well at least we are starting October off with a bang. We are doing a big fat juicy rock show at Creekside Brew in SLO tonight and then hauling our tired asses outta bed to go play Pozo Saloon Sunday afternoon. Few things in life are as rewarding as the Saturday night to Sunday morning combo. I think someone should write a song about it or something.

Also on the horizon is a trip to AZ for some of us and a show celebrating our Uncle Neil, but more about that later.
